Blogiversary Give Away

This is my prize for my blogiversary give away. I think it would make a wonderful beach bag, diaper bag, purse, even a knitting bag, what ever whom ever needs it for.
It is an Amy Butler Pattern. I showed it a few posts ago when I had just cut it out. The fabrics used are Moda prints. Not counting my time in dollar figures, the cost of making this bag was in the $50.00 range. Fabrics were $10.00 per yard, interfacing and batting, thread probably $12.00, pattern $12.95.
So you all know the rules but I will post them in case there are readers out there who have never participated in this type of give away.
1: Leave me some commet love.
2: Blog about my give away on your blog.
3. Follow me. I will give you credit if you already follow.
4. If someone leaves a comment telling me they came from your blog you will have one more entry.
5. I will draw the (lucky) winner on June 10, so that gives you three days to enter.
I hope this is fun for everyone.
By the way, the chair is not part of the prize:)

Yesterday Stan and I

Went for a drive across the mountains to a little village nestled at the foot of the Cascade Mountains on the Eastern side. This time instead of walking around the village, we went down to a park along the Wenatchee River.
As we were walking I heard Stan say deer. Now I knew he was not addressing me

cause that isn't one of his terms. I looked up to see this. She was walking towards us. Our being on the path did not deter her at all.

We had our grandson Jonah with us. As we stopped, I told Jonah not to move at all. I do not think this little four year old even twitched a muscle as she came closer to us.

At about ten feet from us, she veered of into the weeds beside the path.

Once off the path, she stopped to watch us as we continued on our walk.

We also saw a beaver in the river, but it was not as accomodating as the deer so we did not get any pictures of it.

Sent to me by my good friend Barb

Thanks Barb, will use the others too.

A Primo MeMe

From Henya at Chicken Stitches. Henya is one of my knitting friends who lives in Brooklyn but immigrated here from Russia. Not only is she a great knitter, but she also writes about her life in Russia (Occasionally). I really enjoy reading her and I am sure many of you would also.
So this meme says I have to talk about seven of my personality traits and then pass it on. You know how hard it is to talk about oneself, but I will try.

1. I am overly sensitive and easily hurt, especially when it is family.
2. I am very giving, sometimes not able to say no because I think it will upset someone. Seems it usually does.
3. I am trying to convince my self that at 63 years of age what the@#!$% does it matter how big my butt is.
4. I believe in equality and justice for everyone. With one caveat: Be in my country legally before you ask for my equality.
5. I hate being lied to and am not a liar.
6. I am willing to go to the end of the earth for a cause, especially if I feel I have been directed to do so by HIM.
7. I can hardly wait for the next election season and we can have our Country back. Hmmmmm is that a personality trait?
Now I have to pass this on to others that I enjoy. I always have a hard time with this, so if you see your name under my daily read, it is passed on to you.

June 7 is the Anniversary

of my first post. I joined this "club" at the behest of my daughters, Kris, Tricia and Gina. I really did not think I had anything to say that would interest anyone at all, but never the less, I began posting. In the past year, I have made some wonderful friends. You have all touched my heart in ways you will never know. Your prayers when things have been difficult for me or my family. Your encouragement when it was most needed and your open honesty and friendship are all things I cherish.
In honor of my first blogiversary, I will be having a give away. I hope you will like it well enough to participate. Be sure to return on the seventh to see what my prize will be and to have the opportunity to win.
I hope you return before then, but if not I will certainly see you on the seventh.
My love and thanks to each and every one of you,
Gramma

I asked

Tricia to pimp my blog, cause I am not very computer savey. This is what she came up with. I wanted something bright and cheery.
Thanks Tricia! Good job.
