On Thursday night I caught a flight to Anchorage. After a six hour layover in Anchorage I caught the earliest flight to Kotzebue, a village 33 miles north of the Artic Circle. My daughter Tricia and her family moved there in April of this year. In two weeks they are leaving Kotzebue for Dillingham which is located about 320 miles southwest of Anchorage. This was my only chance to get up here before they transferred and I am very glad I made it.
I spent most of today catching up on my sleep. Tricia and I went out for a drive tonight and I hope to walk around some tomorrow and catch some more shots of the Village.

What a beautiful place. I follow your daughters blog as well. Such an interesting life! Glad you got to see Kotzebue.
A world traveler is what you are... Good you can travel and see new places while visiting your daughter. Wish them good moving and you a happy time while there. Be safe traveling home.
O Lord my God, When I in awesome wonder,
Consider all the worlds Thy Hands have made;
I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder,
Thy power throughout the universe displayed.
When through the woods, and forest glades I wander,
And hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees.
When I look down, from lofty mountain grandeur
And see the brook, and feel the gentle breeze.
Then sings my soul, My Saviour God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, How great Thou art.
Then sings my soul, My Saviour God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, How great Thou art!
BEAUTIFUL...THANKS FOR SHARING!

Evy, I had my nerve tests done yesterday. Showed no nerve damage or signs of carpal tunnel. He mentioned one other thing but ruled it out too. He has basically told me to take my muscle relaxers and see him in 2 weeks. I have a massage this afternoon and will probably schedule chiropracter this week if time allows. Have fun with your family. Love those shots. What beautiful color.
Frizzy- I am glad to hear that you are starting with massage and chiropractic- I hope it is the solution (and it would be the easiest one by far).
Mom, remember that Indian burial ground that had the little houses for the souls and all the bgright colors? That is in AK too, right?
How beautiful! So glad you are getting to see the area and your daughter!
Wow ...brilliant pictures...Graffiti on the barge in the Arctic Circle..who knew there would be similarities to NYC up there. Great stuff.
