Today, I was suppose to

be leaving for Africa. I have felt very impressed by the Lord to make a trip to Tanzania with my friends Rebeka
and Msoshi. These beautiful people fled the horrible civil war in Congo. Their family, children, grandchildren, brothers and sisters have been in refugee camps in Tanzania for at least 10 years. We meet every Monday to pray for the refugees. We also speak around the area at churches who will allow us. Sadly, I am finding out that if you do not belong to that particular denomination, they are reluctant to give you a venue. I never knew God had a DENOMINATION. But I digress.
We had planned to leave today on a humanitarian trip, taking needed supplies as we could carry and just let them know they are not forgotten. They know about Angelina Jolee, and all of the other beautiful people who are making such noise about Darfur. I do not negate what is happening there, but my friends,in the camps, feel forgotten. In order for Msoshi and Rebeka to leave, they have to have permission. They cannot just leave the U.S. and return at will as we can. We have been waiting for their permission to be granted since November. It is suppose to take up to 6 months. The 6 month mark is past, so I am hoping for good news soon. Msoshi has also made the decision to become a U.S. citizen. He has an appointment in late July. Because of that and because they have not been given permission to leave, we will not go now until probably mid August. I really need lots of prayer for patience in dealing with the setbacks. I know the whole plan is the Lord's plan and I am to wait upon Him. I know when all of the doors open I must be ready. I am working to that end. By the way, the YELLOW FEVER shot made me SICK!! I really do not want to ever have to deal with the disease. I thought I was going to die. Really!

But these things I plan won't happen right away...If it seems slow, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed.

I will keep your group and the refugees in my prayers. Your intention to help these people is a beautiful act, and I am sure God is pleased with your willingness and generosity. He will answer your prayers and you will know when he intends you to go there.

Have you read the book "Left to Tell" about the Rwandan genocide? That book really left a mark on me, as will your stories when you are blessed to go. Again, you will be in my prayers.

Thanks for the comment! i love making new friends. Ok-you are one great lady. Africa-i have some friends who have been there for a health mission to do needed sugeries and they she came back and shared with us the incredible stories of these wonderful spirits of the african people.
I hope that you can get there. but I cant help but think, that maybe you are not getting there for a reason. If you left not-maybe danger would await you or something worse for your friends. I too believe that Heavenly Fathers is aware of us and you will go when you are supposed too. I read the poem-couldn't agree more. Everytime I read something like this I think
Satan is so smart. Look at what he is doing to this world. Look at what "we" are accepting and not accepting. How scary this world is becoming!!
You are a great grandma! I appreciate words of wisdom from women who have done everything that i am going through and lived to tell about it. Espescially you, 5 kids! You rock grammie!! I look forward to a friendship that we can have. You have got to love the blogosphere!
Your grandkids are darling and I am so glad that you laugh at them when they do crazy things. I will look at you as an example for times when i want to rip my hair out at my 3.
You rock fellow sista!
Come back and visit often. I know I will come and check on you.!! Have a wonderful sunday!!
