While Blog Surfing

just before Christmas, I discovered this blog. Cristie is a fairly new blogger. She has been on since November 2008. While I was looking through her blog, I began to recognize landmarks in the pictures she posted. Naturally, I sent her an e-mail saying I thought we were neighbors. Sure enough, we live only 2 miles at the most from one another.
We have talked on the phone a couple of times, but have not met yet. We have discovered we have some acquaintances in common also. Our town is very small.
So now, Cristie, I am planning a Luncheon on March 6th at 11:00 A.M. I would love for you to be the guest of honor. I am inviting another friend, and my daughter who is your age. We had a luncheon last week and decided to make it an annual occasion. Hope you will be able to join us.
Everyone else, I wish you lived close enough that we could have a huge party, but since we do not, how about you all go over and give Cristie a great big blogger's welcome. Make her feel real welcome to this world.

I do not know if it writers block

or if I am just to spread out, but I have not been able to share much with you the past week.
But I do have this to share with you from Saturday.
If you were a four year old boy (#6518) and you found this paddle with suction cups on it,
And you discovered that it sticks if you slapped it down on the seat of a toilet.
What would you think it was?

Well, if you guessed it was a toilet opener, you were right!!!

I almost missed it

TODAY IS LIZZIES BIRTHDAY!!
Happy birthday to Lizzie, one of the funniest bloggers in blogger world. She is also very caring and compassionate, except when it comes to mothers and blogs. But other than that she is the BEST and I hope she has the happiest of birthdays ever. Also hope the Honda was in her parking space with a big red bow on it.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY LIZZIE
YOU ARE A WONDERFUL FRIEND.
BE SURE TO GO GIVE HER BIG BIRTHDAY WISHES IF YOU HAVEN'T

Are we happy yet?

Todays news says "O" has capped CEO salaries. Yes for all of you who have class envy that is a good thing. Yes he has done it only to those businesses who have accepted the "bailout." I agree if you cannot pay your employees, maybe you should take a pay cut. But let us look a little deeper. We are marching down the road to Socialism. Pure and simple.
so·cial·ism
Pronunciation:
\ˈsō-shə-ˌli-zəm\
Function:
noun
1: any of various economic and political theories advocating collective or governmental ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods

2 a: a system of society or group living in which there is no private property b: a system or condition of society in which the means of production are owned and controlled by the state
3: a stage of society in Marxist theory transitional between capitalism and communism and distinguished by unequal distribution of goods and pay according to work done

If government would excuse themselves from the private sector, it would adjust itself. If a few businesses went belly up, others would step in and fill the void. The ones who prevail will be the ones who of their own accord tighten their belts and make concessions for the good of their company. It is called Capitalism.

cap·i·tal·ism
Pronunciation:
\ˈka-pə-tə-ˌliz-əm, ˈkap-tə-, British also kə-ˈpi-tə-\
Function:
noun: an economic system characterized by private or corporate ownership of capital goods, by investments that are determined by private decision, and by prices, production, and the distribution of goods that are determined mainly by competition in a free market
For everyone who wants to give him a chance. I can only say, Germany gave Hitler a chance also. How far do you want to go?

Happy Birthday To You

Senator Daschle is

'deeply' embarrassed by his tax mistake. Someone give me a bucket, I AM GOING TO BARF!!

Did not pay taxes for private use of a car and driver with a worth of up to $128,000. $100,000 in payoffs from the health industry. And this man is nominated to be our next Health and Human Services Director.

Good job "O" you are certainly cleaning up the corruption in Washington. Are they all going into your cabinet so you can keep a closer eye on them and see to it that they do the right thing? You have to wonder.
