I LOVE SPRING!!

Why? You ask. It is the time the earth warms back up. It is a time of New Life, my garden comes alive! Today was no exception. The above picture is of my tiny back yard. Even though it is small, I absolutely love it.
When I went out this morning I discovered one of my Clematis was in bloom. This flower was above my head, so I had to stand on my tip toes on the rocks that outline the flower bed and reach above the flower to take this picture.

I also discovered my first Iris in bloom. I love these flowers. Outside though. I learned the hard way not to bring them inside because they weep.
Another shot of my fence and my Wisteria. I fell in love with this plant when Stan and I lived in Georgia. It was amazing to see them growing wild and climbing the trees. I absolutely had to have one when I got back up here. I did however, leave the Kudzu to Georgia. Also shows my baskets that I hung up today. Can hardly wait for them to mature completely and fill my yard with their fragrance.
This morning Stan took me for a ride up Highway 9. He had something he wanted to show me.
When we got out of the car, these pretty little Bleeding Hearts were right under my feet. They are so delicate. I remember them growing in our woods when I was a child.
What he wanted to show me was this waterfall. If you look closely on the left side of the picture, between the trees, you can make out the water cascading down the rock face. I could not get closer to the falls because I had flip flops on. Not conducive to walking in the woods. Will have to put my tennis shoes on next time he suggests we go for a ride.

Happy Mother's Day. Love your backyard! I just planted a Wisteria root and hope that it grows! Gotcha on the Kudzu..don't like it..but I love to see and smell the Wisteria on our morning drive to Post. We are in Georgia and the spring here is absolutely gorgeous! Hope you have a wonderful day!

You have a beautiful back yard! I fell in love with Wisteria when we lived in Italy. BEAUTIFUL! We saw the sunset on the road on Wed from up in the mountains off HWY 101. It was gorgeous and even more beautiful reflecting off one of the mountain lakes. Unfortunately there was no place to stop and take a picture. :(
