I am alone today

So what did I do with my day?

First what did I not do?

Laundry

Sweep

Vaccum

actually, I did NO HOUSEWORK AT ALL!!! (except the dishes)
What did I do?
Knit, frogged, knit, frogged, knit and frogged it all the way because for some reason I could not get the pattern correct.
Read, Mandala by Pearl S. Buck
Sat on the deck and enjoyed the sun
Took a long hot bath
Went to Michaels to see if they had any yarn I want. They did not.
Bought a chocolate milkshake
Ate leftovers, because I was not going to do any work and preparing a meal is work.
Tomorrow, it is back to babies and my regular routine.
I loved today.

That sounds like my kind of day. I envy you, because days like that don't seem to be anywhere near in my foreseeable future! Enjoy it while you can, dear friend!

Sounds like heaven on Earth. I'm just sitting here in the Marriott hotel (my home until June 11th AM) . . . going from the room to the complimentary laundry down the hall (and I mean all the way down the hall . . .good exercise) doing the laundry . . . reading Life of Pi. Telling my kids to turn down the iPod thingy every now and again. I have to keep telling my 11yo and 13yo not to run or jump. How stupid, huh? Anyway, I know it's hard on them. they want to use the pool. We adults have things to do during the day . . . we'll slow down . . . tonight is my eldests practice for Confirmation (tomorrow). It will really slow down after the MIL and BIL fly outta here Sunday afternoon. Time to kill.
