The sky is blue (almost)

and the rain has stopped. The pineapple express has moved on. We heard the river is receding so Gina just left to try to go home. He husband said their house was still dry. She is sick and so am I so home is a good place for her to be tonight. Except I made a huge crock pot full of Scalloped potatoes and ham. More than Stan and I can eat. David got off work early and made it home to our house to pick up his girls and attempt to go home to their home. If they cannot get across the river in town, they can drive south through another town and then head back north on an alternate route and cross the river at a higher point. That is about a 20 mile trip as opposed to five. Naturally everyone wants to sleep in their own beds tonight. If it proves to not be safe, they can all return to my house. Thanks for all of the care and concern. I am very thankful that I am up high and not down on the plain.

Praise the Lord they and you are all safe. It's been some weather here in the Northwet over the past few weeks! Usually I love the rain and wind but not with so many at risk.

I can't believe all that you all have been through this year with weather. UGH! Sorry to hear you're sick and still dealing with water and difficulty traveling. NO FUN! My hubby is flying back up Friday for a job interview in Seattle. Also, my grandparents got stuck in SETAC last Sunday night due to the weather. I think I'll take our drive over their trip by plane any day. Their story was one they'll never forget. Bloops and blunders the whole way through.
