Vancouver's

Benjamin David #5113 and Cooper Daniel #5216

loss, Kotzebue's gain. Gramma's loss too. Not that she does not want them to move, she does. She knows it is good for the family. She did it once when she was young too. To Alaska even. Guess it is in the blood.
They left this morning for Anchorage and on Monday they will fly to Kotzebue where their daddy will be working for a company called Alaska Commercial. When we lived up there it was Northern Commercial. Kotzebue is the training store. After six months they may be asked to stay there, or they may be given the opportunity to move to another store. It could be in Anchorage or even in a more remote village. The boys will probably learn to drive a snow mobile before they learn how to drive a car! Kotzebue is only about one mile wide and three miles long. It is above the Arctic Circle and right on the water. I think is where Sara Palin goes when she wants to see Russia.
Stan and I have been wanting to go back to Alaska, now I think we have the perfect reason.
By boys, Gramma Loves You the MOST. I will miss you so much, but I am so proud of your mommy and daddy for taking this step and giving you the opportunity to see more than Vancouver Washington. Be careful of the Polar Bears!

What an adventure! Not sure I'd want to go that far north, but maybe if I were younger...
I'm looking forward to her blog once she gets settled!

What an awesome opportunity for them, and the boys are old enough, the things they will learn & experiance will stay with them. Time to break out the wool grandma!
