If I say to much,

They might cut my service, but I have a question.
Why the $#%^ when unemployment is at 15% in the United States, is Verizon paying someone in India, who I might add barely speaks English, to do the job someone here would be delighted to do?
Oh, silly me, it is the 2 rupes a day there as opposed to the $75.00 a day to pay someone here.
That being said, I have been on the phone since 8:30 this morning. It is now 11:30 and we still are not resolved. I finally asked to speak to someone in the United States. It is frustrating beyond being able to vocalize.
Better call them back now and see if I can get any satisfaction.

And that, dear friend, is why our phone service is now with comcast. I was sick and tired of the Verizon customer service. It appears that Comcast actually has an Everett office. Sorry!!!

I'm to the point -- and this is awful -- when I try and get through to a customer service person and they barely speak English, I'm just downright annoyed. Only in America people. Only in America.

And btw, I love Gina's comment. Hilarious.

Hang in there honey. Just threaten to switch -- although it's often times a matter of the grass NOT being greener on the other side!

FYI, if you request to speak with an American, or some one in the US they HAVE to transfer the call. I did not reaize that until just a few weeks ago & had this same problem. The othe thing that ticks me off is...press 1 for englsh!

Kati, I did ask every time during this four hour confrontation, that they transfer me back to the United States. We should ALL ask immediately when we are connected to someone outside of our country. Maybe then it would give the CEO's a clue.
DO NOT get me started on press one for English. I left a grocery store last week, because I felt like I was the only English Speaking person in it. It was one of the chain stores in our area. I came home without groceries.

Apart from the fact that in the USA you speak American English (LOL) Every company you can mention will have at least back office suport in a India or a similar country, because its cheaper, they have different holidays and they start work when we sleep so they get 24 hour work.
Its the same reason everything is made in China. There isnt a lot you can do, You know this is what capitilism does? exploits cheap labour to maximise profits for shareholders.

Nope... not ONLY in America. The same thing happens here in Australia, and I'm sick and tired of trying to find someone who speaks English.
The last one just about drove me nuts, and I ended up telling him that my best friend had been "let go" from HER job, so that HE could do it cheaper. She lost her house, had to sell her car and now she and her 4 children are living in a 3 bedroom house miles out of town because it's all she can afford.
