My last Africa Post #10

This tree is host to this gianormous Philodendron.

This hand carved chicken was presented to me. When they gave it to me, the finish was still wet. It now sits in my kitchen.

The women make these straw bags. They would like to have a way to market them in the U.S.

Hand carved wooden plate and fruits and vegetables.
Now sits on my dining room table.

A Millipede. Easily five inches long.

That is a quarter above this moth. Just to give an idea of it's size.

I wanted to share some happy pictures with you before I end my Africa Saga. Here they are. Thanks for bearing with me whilst I sorted out all of my emotions

Beautiful pictures and I can see that it must have been a very emotional and spiritual trip for you. Times like that form very close friendships/bonds. What beautiful blessings from God. Loved hearing about all of them. I could do w/o dreams of that millipede and huge moth eating my clothes though.;)

Re. meeting the Fuzzy Duck b4 you. No, we're not meetin in real life. Not that I know of anyway. Just talking about it.
As for us, I'm still hoping it works out for the Applebees date.

I, too, wish they could market their carvings and straw bags--I would line up to be their first customer! Is there any remote possibility? Anyone working on a strategy?

What a trip/mission! I'm so glad you shared and I loved seeing the people. We spent a month in Albania waiting for the adoption of our daughter to be complete. A very poor country, although not as poor as Africa, but your pictures were a reminder of that.
